The ENQUIRER reports Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon plans to secretly wed her lesbian lover as a "thank you" for helping her survive breast cancer.
The 42-year-old actress told pals education activist Christine Marinoni, who’s known as Chris, was her "rock" while she underwent surgery and six and a half weeks of daily radiation.
"Cynthia and Chris want a quiet autumn ceremony in Vermont under the red leaves," a pal told The ENQUIRER. "It’s supposed to be a very low-key gathering just for close friends and family."
The actress’ cancer was diagnosed after a routine mammogram 18 months ago – and in recent TV interviews,
Cynthia revealed her partner was "in a panic," adding: "My girlfriend was the one doing the eating."
But then Chris pulled herself together and gave Cynthia the emotional support she desperately needed to get through the ordeal.
As The ENQUIRER reported previously, Cynthia met Chris seven months after ending a 15-year relationship with Danny Mozses, the father of Cynthia’s children.
