SEX BANNED IN SPACE

description

There will be NO going boldly where no one has gone before in space – it’s been banned!

Commanders on the International Space Station which houses a mixed international crew of men and women do not allow sexual intercourse in space.

"We are a group of professionals," NASA commander Alan Poindexter, replied when asked if astronauts "get busy" in zero gravity to the music of the spheres.

"We treat each other with respect and we have a great working relationship. Personal relationships are not … an issue," Poindexter said without batting an eye.

"We don’t have them and we won’t."

Doing the sex mambo in geosynchronous orbit may be off-limits but on earth things have been known to get  steamy.

According to author Tom Wolfe‘s THE RIGHT STUFF, the Mercury Seven astronauts did more than maintain an "even balance".

Some, allegedly, went "faster and higher than anyone has ever gone before" between the sheets in stark contrast to the carefully honed PR images of the astronauts as god-fearing straight arrow family men.

Reportedly, an angry John Glenn told his fellow star- farers to "keep it zipped".

And in 2007 former space shuttle jockey Lisa Marie Nowak drove non-stop hundreds of miles in an adult diaper to confront a rival in a heated romance with a fellow astronaut.
