Sick of being the butt of Apple’s hipper-than-thou attitude in commercials, Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates will strike back by appearing in new commercials with Jerry Seinfeld.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Seinfeld will be paid $10 million for the adverts.
The PC monolith is prepared to spend $300 million in total image upgrade. Talks are also afoot to add hip funsters Will Ferrell and Chris Rock to the MS team.
Jerry previously appeared in a series of popular AmEX commercials teamed with an animated Superman.
The Microsoft campaign will be the biggest in the company’s history and hopes to slam its stodgy image as portrayed in the Apple ads.
