Hawaiian Eye for the Ladies Jon Gosselin tried to quell the fires of hate by bring a bouquet long stemmed red roses to estranged wife Kate at the couple’s divorce arbitration hearing at a Pennsylvania courthouse.
Not surprisingly the publicity mad fame whore of an octo-dad’s maneuver didn’t work as Kate refused the semi-peace offering.
"This has been called the real-life War of the Roses," Jon’s witty lawyer Mark Heller quipped.
"And he brought that as a peace offering to break the ice and try to bring the war to an end."
Regardless of Kate’s haughty dismissal, the TLC couple’s divorce session turned out to be "successful and productive" as what was to be a two-day arbitration marathon got settled quickly.
According to sources, Jon and Kate worked out the Big D deets – custody of their octos, child support and division of debatable assets.
Jon "didn’t dispute Kate having primary custody of the kids," a source divulged.
The couple’s bitter divorce should be finalized by the end of the year.
