Despite the flamboyant approach of an overly theatrical Adam Lambert and media prediction that Lambert would win – you just can’t underestimate the power of Vox populi Americanus.
That’s the voice of the American people – for those not up on their Latin.
And in all star 2-hour potpourri of guest stars including Fergie, Rod Stewart, Keith Urban and Steve Martin, Allen was crowned new Idol.
For some that means better and bigger things like Jennifer Hudson and Carrie Underwood.
For others being crowned AI was a brief shining moment.
