Jennifer Lopez is tormented by grief as she’s desperate to have a baby with husband Marc Anthony, friends say.
The 36-year-old superstar can’t seem to hide her feelings of heartbreak — a recent photo obtained by The National Enquirer shows her in apparent misery as she was caught leaving her trailer on the set of El Cantante, a film she’s making with Marc, 37.
Jennifer had told friends she wanted to be pregnant by Christmas after marrying the salsa singer in 2004.
A family source told The National Enquirer: “When you see Jennifer these days, I think her face can’t mask the pain this holiday season that she’s not yet pregnant. Her mother and her sisters thought she would be in the family way this Christmas, but it hasn’t turned out that way. It’s made their holiday blue. “With her biological clock ticking, Jennifer’s dream to conceive a child is still just that — a dream. This is a particularly tough time of year for her — it’s a tragedy because this far into her marriage with Marc, I think she assumed she’d be pregnant.”
