One of show business’ most glamorous couples is giving up city life for a cottage in Ireland!
SARAH JESSICA PARKER is already telling Irish locals that she’s ready to settle down with hubby Matthew Broderick at their humble home in the tiny town of Kilcar, The National ENQUIRER has learned.
“We’d be delighted to decamp to Ireland,” Sarah Jessica said. “Move the children there, put them in school, have tea every day and a proper fry-up” – referring to the traditional Irish meal laden with fried food.
Since they married 18 years ago, Sarah Jessica and Matthew have returned each summer to their four-bedroom cottage.
Now villagers say they’re ready to welcome the celebs as permanent residents – along with the couple’s three kids: James, 12, and 6-year-old twins, Loretta and Tabitha.
While Sarah Jessica’s reps denied the report, the 50-year-old actress – who played “Sex and the City” columnist Carrie Bradshaw – told a local newspaper that she’s “considering a permanent move,” adding: “It’s just an exquisite, beautiful, relaxing, wonderful place for ourselves and our children.
“There’s a simplicity to the time we spent there, and the people are so lovely.”
The residents’ warm reception is also a touching show of support for Matthew, 53, whose ties to his favorite Irish village were strained in 1987 – after he caused the deaths of two North Ireland women in a fatal head-on collision after his car veered into the wrong lane.
A villager who’s known the family for 10 years told The ENQUIRER: “They’ve already had more work done on the cottage. It’s quaint, but you’d never guess it’s the home of Hollywood celebrities!”
