SANDRA Bullock’s longtime friendship with actor Hugh Grant is blossoming into a romance, sources tell The ENQUIRER.
But friends of the Oscar-winning beauty worry Hugh’s womanizing – he recently fathered three children with two women within 15 months – could doom their budding love story.
“Sandy needs some excitement in her life and Hugh certainly brings that,” said a friend. “He makes her laugh a lot. She adores him and, despite his reputation as a womanizer, he’s always the perfect gentleman with her.”
The two flirted when Sandra, 49, was honored at Spike TV’s Guys Choice Awards in L.A. on June 7, and then shared a cozy meal at Craig’s in West Hollywood, sources say.
Insiders say the couple – who co-starred in 2002’s “Two Weeks Notice” – have been spending time together with Hugh, 53, growing close to Sandra’s son Louis, 4.
“Hugh often drops by Sandra’s house,” said the source. “Louis even calls him ‘Uncle Hugh.’”
When an intruder broke into Sandra’s house recently, one of the first people she called was Hugh, added the source.
While the “Gravity” star hasn’t had any serious romances since divorcing cheating Jesse James in 2010, she recently battled comedy star Chelsea Handler over 33-year-old “Captain America” stud Chris Evans.
“Everyone wants Sandy to be happy, but she must know Hugh brings a lot of baggage,” her pal added. “Still, she seems to think their relationship could become serious.”
