RYAN REYNOLDS and SCARLETT JOHANSSON are calling it quits, the stars have confirmed.
"After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we’ve decided to end our marriage," the stars said in a joint statement.
"We entered our relationship with love and it’s with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated."
The stars had evidently been separated for some time.
Ryan,who stars in upcoming Green Lantern was recently named Sexiest Man Alive after GQ named blonde bombshell Scarlett Babe of the Year.
The couple had rarely been seen together in recent months and had denied reports of trouble in the marriage.
Their last photo op together was at the Tony Awards a few months back.
Scar Jo and Ryan, who were married in September, 2008, have no children.
