Hollywood screen legend RYAN O’NEAL is reeling from another family tragedy – the street-corner drug bust of his grandson KEVIN McENROE.

The 28-year-old son of “Paper Moon” star Tatum O’Neal and former tennis ace John McEnroe was handcuffed July 15 in Manhattan after investigators saw him copping drugs just blocks away from where his famous mom was collared buying crack in 2008.

Kevin was charged with criminal possession of six glassine bags of cocaine, and 30 oxycodone and morphine pills. The National ENQUIRER has learned his parents were no-shows at his arraignment.

Meanwhile, Ryan, 73, is heartbroken over this sad new chapter in his family’s ongoing battle with drugs. “Ryan is crushed by this latest turn of events,” a friend of the “Bones” star told The ENQUIRER.

“He’s been down this road – first with Tatum and then with Redmond. Ryan never thought he’d go down it with Kevin. He’s convinced that (drug addiction) may be genetic.”

In 2008, both Ryan and Redmond, whose mother was the late Farrah Fawcett, were arrested on suspicion of drug possession.

Redmond has been in rehab at least 12 times since the age of 13.

Kevin also seems in bad shape.

A Brooklyn neighbor said: “When I saw him in the afternoon he always looked to me like he was drunk.”
