Russian officials are trying to kill Kenny – and his South Park pals!
Moscow prosecutors have filed legal action against Russian Channel 2×2 for an episode airing this past January. The legal eagle Muscovites want the "extremist" Cartman, Stan and Kyle off the air.
The episode which sent these Russians into a furor was the hilari-fest Mr. Hankey’s Christmas Classics.
Spokes-cossack for the prosecutor’s office, Valentina Titova stated, "In accordance with the conclusions made by experts from the court investigations committee, a claim has been filed against 2×2 for its broadcast of an episode of South Park.
"It offends the honor and dignity of Christians and Muslims alike.
"It could just have easily included Jews, Scientologists, Catholics, Mormons and Moonies all of whom have been mercilessly targeted by American series."
Well, d’oh – that’s the point. It’s called Making Fun of Hypocrisy with a capital H for Hankey.
Wonder if Trey Parker and Matt Stone will lampoon Ms. Titova in next year’s Yuletide spectacular, Christmas Time in Siberia?
