Katy Perry’s ex hubby, Brand, 36, was cited in a police report after reportedly seizing a paparazzi 's cell phone right out of his hand and hurling it.
The flung iPhone shattered the glass window of a law firm across the street.
Pap snapper, Timothy Jackson, filed a police report immediately, citing "criminal damages."
According to the criminal complaint, the photog, started taking pictures of the Brit comedic thesp with his iPhone when Brand "flipped out".
Yesterday, Brand Tweeted about the imbroglio to his four million acolytes, writing, "Since Steve Jobs died I cannot bear to see anyone use an iphone irreverently, what I did was a tribute to his memory."
The police evidently think otherwise.
