ROSIE O’DONNELL MEMOIR REVEAL PAINFUL PAST

description

In her new book, Celebrity Detox, Rosie O’Donnell shares a startling confession. O’Donnell, whose childhood was marred by the loss of her mother at age 10, reveals she used to break her own bones with either a baseball bat or a wooden hanger in secret. She says it was “proof I had some value, enough to be fixed.”

The former View co-host also wrote a mysterious passage about the advantage to having broken her fingers or arms. “There were many benefits to having a cast. In the middle of the night, it was a weapon.” O’Donnell does not address why a weapon was needed.

Rosie says she chose the title Celebrity Detox for her memoir because fame is like a drug. “When celebrity addiction starts, you become impatient with, and even angry at necessary obstacles. You think you could run a red light or two. And then you do.”
