Rosie O’Donnell is secretly begging estranged wife Kelli Carpenter to take her back, say sources.
And during a brief reunion at a publicity event, an emotional Rosie pleaded with her ex-partner of 12 years, Kelli Carpenter, to reunite, reveal insiders.
"Rosie was overcome with more than just fond feelings for Kelli when they got together for a recent public appearance," divulged a mutual friend.
Although the 47-year-old comedian recently told Oprah that she and new girlfriend Tracy Kachtick-Anders are going to live together, the fact is she’s pining for Kelli and desperately wants her back, according to sources close to the entertainer.
Last August, The ENQUIRER was the first to reveal that Kelli, who legally married Rosie in California in February 2004, had moved out of their Nyack, N.Y., home.
On Nov. 13, Rosie confirmed the report on her Sirius radio show and admitted the split actually happened two years earlier.
Since then, Rosie has stepped out with her new girlfriend and has even moved Tracy into her waterfront Miami Beach, Fla., home.
But at least one insider suggests that Rosie is now simply using the 45-year-old mother of six to make Kelli jealous.
"Kel is fed up with Ro’s wild mood swings," another insider divulged.
"They verged on emotional abuse and stemmed from bouts of depression. Also, she has had it with Ro’s insane jealousy!"
