ROBIN WILLIAMS’ WIFE FILES FOR DIVORCE

description

Robin Williams‘ wife, Marsha Garces Williams, filed a divorce petition in San Francisco on Friday, Mar. 21, seeking to end her marriage to Robin on the grounds of irreconcilable differences.

Marsha is Robin’s second wife. They met while he was married to Valerie Velardi and Marsha worked as a nanny for their son Zachary. Marsha later became the comedian’s personal assistant. In 1989 Robin and Marsha married and later had two children together.

In 2006, the National Enquirer reported that Marsha gave Robin an ultimatum: get help with his drinking or she’d leave him. Robin checked into the Hazelden Springbrook treatment center in Newberg, Ore.

Upon his release, he moved out of his family home and into an apartment with a “sober companion” he hired to make sure he didn’t fall off the wagon.

“I’ll do whatever it takes to get my marriage back on track,” he told a friend at the time. “I don’t want to lose her and I will do anything to win her back.”
