NATALIE WOOD’s husband ROBERT WAGNER emerges from seclusion and speaks out for the first time in public since LAPD launched the reinvestigation into his late wife’s death 30 years ago!
Wagner known to pals as “RJ” attended a question and answer session about his life and career at the Lyric Theater in Florida.
As he left he was mobbed by autograph hunters armed with pictures of the 81-year-old actor with the beautiful Wood in their youth.
And while he remained mum on the investigation itself, on stage he paid tribute to the actress wife he 'loved very much'.
“'One of the highlights of all time was working with Natalie on a ‘Cat on a Hot Tin Roof’,” he recalled. “I loved her very much.'
He also shared with the crowd vintage footage of Natalie and he slicing his 30th birthday cake.
The homicide investigation is ongoing.
As The ENQUIRER previously reported Natalie drowned thirty years ago during a yacht trip with Wagner, costar Christopher Walken. The ship's captain Dennis Davern has repeatedly made bombshell claims regarding the "West Side Story" star's final hours, prompting LAPD to reopen the decades old cold case.
