RICHARD BELZER BROTHER LEAPS TO DEATH FROM HIGH RISE

LAW & ORDER star RICHARD BELZER rocked by sudden suicide of brother as he freefalls to death in Manhattan.

Leonard Belzer, former host of the radio program "The Comedy Hour," jumped to his death from his luxury Manhattan apartment building Wednesday morning, residents and building workers told media.

The crumpled and tattered body was found in the courtyard of 250 W. 94th St., where Belzer has resided on the 11th floor, The New York Daily News reported.

NYPD sources confirmed that they were investigating the incident as a suicide. They also said notes indicating suicide were left in the apartment by the deceased.

"He jumped,"  a building worker who knew Belzer said.  "I'm surprised. It's very sad."

The worker, who preferred to remain anonymous, added, "He was sick.

"He had health issues."
