Rihanna secretly called Jessica Biel to say she’s not chasing Justin Timberlake, sources say. But plenty of women ARE – and Mr. "Sexy Back" isn’t running the other way!
"Rihanna doesn’t want to be pegged as a home wrecker," a close friend told The ENQUIRER. "She loves Justin, but only as a friend."
Whispers of a romance between Justin, 28, and the 21-year-old Barbados beauty began back in 2008 when they filmed a steamy music video together.
The two are collaborating on Rihanna’s new album, and recently published reports began to swirl that they were fooling around. But Rihanna wanted to make it clear to Jessica, 27, the stories are off base. So the leggy singer had her assistant track down Jessica’s cell number from Justin’s assistant last week and got the A-Team star on the phone, said the source.
"Rihanna apologized over the ridiculous nonsense that’s been printed," the source said.
"Rihanna has been cheated on in the past, and one thing she would never do is take another woman’s guy. Sure, she and Justin are close. He’s producing her CD."
The two women chatted and even made a tentative lunch date, said the source.
But Jessica’s 2 1/2-year romance with Justin is STILL on shaky ground, according to insiders, as he whisked her away for a romantic weekend to try to hash out their issues.
But Justin warned Jessica that she’ll have to grow a thicker skin if their love is going to go the distance.
"Justin told Jessica he wants to be with her, but there will always be rumors about other women, and she’s got to end her jealousy," the source said.
Sure enough, once Jessica was safely in Canada, Justin was out on the town with a crew of cuties. On Oct. 2, he shared a table with a close female friend at Crown Bar in Hollywood. By the end of the night, five more women joined his party.
"Justin has done what he can to reassure Jessica and explain that he’s going to be seen with other women," said the source.
"As for their future? That’s in Jessica’s court now."
