T.I.L. internet genius AARON SWARTZ who cofounded Reddit.com committed suicide.
Swartz committed suicide at his Crown Heights home, according to law-enforcement sources and pals who ID-ed him.
NYPD was alerted after his girlfirend discovered Swartz unconscious at 9:30 a.m.
Investigators are unclear if he died AFTER hanging himself or prior — possibly ingesting drugs.
The NY medical examiner is also conducting an autopsy and toxicology tests to determine precise COD.
Swartz co-founded Reddit and at age 14 drafted an early version of the RSS format, a “Web feed” that syndicates popular headlines.
Obama and Hollywood celebs have answered queries on Reddit from users and the site also features a popular T.I.L. (Today I Learned) feature. He openly battled depression, blogging about his stuggle.
Swartz was arrested in 2011 for allegedly downloading academic journals from M.I.T. with the intent to distribute them.
Prosecutors said he broke into a computer wiring closet on campus and then used his laptop for the data theft.
Swartz had plead not guilty to charges including wire fraud.
His federal trial was to begin next month. If convicted, he faced decades in prison and a fortune in fines.
