RANDY TRAVIS TO WED LOVER

description

Now that he’s divorced, country legend RANDY TRAVIS is telling pals that he’ll wed his married mistress as soon as possible!

The country music world was rocked by the report that Travis’ 19-year marriage to his manager Libby Hatcher had ended, but it was old news to ENQUIRER readers.

Back in July we revealed Libby, 69, had caught the "Forever & Ever, Amen" singer, 51, cheating with his dentist’s wife, mother of two Mary Beougher. The ENQUIRER exclusively published photos of the illicit couple in a steamy embrace.

Now the triple Grammy winner and his 51-year-old lover are house-hunting, looking at $10 million mansions near Gainesville, Texas, to share, according to insiders.

Travis – who turned his back on a juvenile delinquent past of boozing, burglary and car theft under Libby’s guidance – is drinking again for the first time in many years, say sources.

"Randy is taking a last shot at being the wild young man with his new lover," a Nashville insider told The ENQUIRER. "He’s going through a late midlife crisis, and wrecked one of the most successful marriages in the music business."

Travis recorded 16 number one country hits during the ’80s and early ’90s. When his career started to slide in the mid-’90s, he turned to Christian music and churned out a string of devotional hits.

"But now with adultery, divorce and drinking in his life, Randy is likely to lose some Christian fans," the source added.

Travis hopes that his winning a Grammy this year for his "I Told You So" duet with Carrie Underwood will lead to a country comeback.

And while Travis is determined to marry his lover after her divorce is final, insiders predict the relationship won’t last because Mary’s been married several times and can’t seem to settle down.

"Randy says that as soon as their divorces are final, he will marry Mary in either New Mexico or Colorado," divulged a source close to him.

Under the terms of the Travis’ divorce, which was filed in Albuquerque, N.M., the couple will split their assets, with Libby keeping the pair’s sprawling 220-acre ranch and 28,000-square-foot mansion in Santa Fe.

Said the source: "Libby is trying to not show it, but she’s devastated.

"While she realizes it was time to let Randy go, this has almost killed her."
