RANDY TRAVIS has been released from the hospital following his congestive heart failure and  brain surgery following a stroke.

According to a PR statement Travis, 54, was discharged from The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano near Dallas, Tex. where he had been rushed July 7.

Travis has now been moved to a physical therapy center for further treatment for the  stroke he suffered following surgery July 10.

According to the rep, the country  singer developed the heart failure due to a viral illness.

The subsequent stroke forced docs  to operate on his brain to relieve pressure on his brain.

Travis' fiancée Mary Breougher thanked fans for their prayers and support.

It is unclear what type of therapy the troubled singer will be undergoing and for how long as the exact nature of his post-op care remains a mystery.

As The ENQUIRER previously reported family insiders had said that Travis had been abusing amphetamines to keep his exhaustive touring schedule going.
