The original KARATE KID RALPH MACCHIO has gone more than “a little crazy” – he’s gone PSYCHO!

No more of this “wax on, wax off” nonsense for Macchio – he’s slashing his way to screen fame as he plays a dipped in blood scribe.

Macchio has joined the cast of new flick  “Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho”

Macchio plays screenwriter Joesph Stefano (he created TV series “The Outer Limits”) who adapts Robert Bloch’s novel into a SCREAM-play for Hitchcock.

Sir Anthony Hopkins is playing the master of compulsive suspense who risked all to make a low budget horror film in black and white exposing his sexual predilections to an unwary public.

Macchio Tweeted his excitement about working with Hopkins, saying, "Really looking forward to the privilege of working with one of the greatest actors of our time."

Also cast – Helen Mirren as Hitchcock's long suffering wife Alma Reville.

Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Biel are playing the "Psycho" heroines – Hollywood greats Janet Leigh and Vera Miles.
