PRINCESS DIANA’S SONS URGE U.K. CHANNEL NOT TO SHOW CRASH PICS

Despite the wishes of Princess Diana‘s sons, a British television channel says it will air photos from Diana’s death scene.

Prince William and Prince Harry called the photos “a gross disrespect to their mother’s memory” and “deeply distressing” to them.

The photos, which were taken right after the car Diana was in crashed and killed her and boyfriend Dodi Fayed almost 10 years ago, are used in a documentary set to air on Wednesday.

The head of the network said, “We have weighed the Princes’ concerns against the legitimate public interest we believe there is in the subject of this documentary and in the still photography it includes. We acknowledge that there is great public sensitivity surrounding pictures of the victims and these have not been included. Some photographs will be of the scene inside the tunnel but in none of the pictures is it possible to identify Diana or indeed any of the crash victims.”
