‘PINOCCHIO’ DICKIE JONES DEAD

The voice of WALT DISNEY’s PINOCCHIO Richard “Dickie” Jones has wished upon his final star at 87.

Jones died after a fall at home, his son Rick told media.

Dickie Jones was just 10 years old but already had appeared in nearly 40 movies when he nailed the part of Pinocchio, the wooden puppet who yearned to be a real boy.

Jones, the son of a Texas newspaper editor, learned to ride and rope from an early age and had a Western show career by age 4.

Other Jones’ roles included Henry Aldrich on the radio show "The Aldrich Family," and bit parts in as "Destry Rides Again" and "Stella Dallas."

Jones also rode the ranges in TV Westerns starring as "Buffalo Bill, Jr."
