American Idol judge Paula Abdul has found herself a new man… hunky 6ft 3ins actor-model Dante Spencer, who she met while salsa dancing.
Spencer, 29, who is more than a full foot taller than the 5ft 2ins Abdul, was on her arm for the opening of designer Max Azria’s BCBG clothing store in Beverly Hills and the World Music Awards recently.
“We went for lessons. It was my first time and we hit it off,” he said at the awards show.
A close friend of Abdul said: “Paula is as happy as can be — she’s found the perfect guy to fill her dance card. She really thinks he is hot.”
Paula, 43, was “tremendously relieved” after being cleared of allegations she had an affair with former contestant Corey Clark, the friend said. “It was a big boost to her confidence, as well. And meeting Dante was like icing on the cake for Paula.
“Dante moved up to L.A. to get an acting career going,” the friend said. “Right now, Dante’s the Idol of her affection.”
