Got HELP?! Paul’s wife ends BEATLE’S feud with son.

PAUL MCCARTNEY’s former druggie son James says he’s reconciled with his famous Beatle dad – and owes it to Paul’s new wife!

The 35-year-old guitarist reveals he was delighted when Sir Paul, 71, married American Nancy Shevell, 53, in 2011.

“Nancy’s my new mother,” James – who’s on a country-wide American tour – gushed to a British newspaper. “I feel that. Definitely. She’s very genuine. I knew her a year or so before she married Dad. She has been one of the biggest supporters of me doing this, pursuing my own dreams. She wants me to have my own career. She makes Dad very, very happy. We all adore her.”

But James admits after his mother Linda lost her battle with breast cancer in April 1998, he turned to drugs, and drifted away from his famous dad.

“We would talk on the phone every few months, but we went a long time without seeing each other,” he recalled. “It was sad for both of us.” His father’s second marriage to model Heather Mills in 2002 didn’t help.

“My relationship with Heather was not very good,” James admitted. “I didn’t like her.” Finally, after James’ stint in an Arizona rehab facility and Paul’s heart angioplasty procedure in 2007, the two mended fences. James moved to the family’s English estate and rebooted his musical career, even playing on two of his father’s albums.

“I removed myself from my family for a while. Now I want to immerse myself in them,” said James, who’s been sober for seven months. “I love Dad so much. I’m in a happy place. I’m not high, which is a good thing. I just want to be the best person I can be.”
