PALIN hush-hush SECRETS

description

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin runs and turns tail, abruptly resigning, mystifying many in light of a rumored FBI investigation.

Palin, the maverick former GOP VP candidate who went "rogue" on John McCain in the final days of the November slug-fest, resigned two days after her TrooperGate scandal nemesis, State Senator Hollis French (D-Anchorage)  filed papers with the election board that he intends to run for Governor.

Palin dropped her adieu to local politics at a hastily convened news conference in Wasilla on a slow news day the Friday before July 4th. Palin cited public ridicule of her family particularly Teen Prego Queen daughter Bristol who’s war with ex-fiancee Levi Johnston, the father of her baby, is the stuff of daytime soaps.  A devastating portraiture of Palin in the new Vanity Fair in which close colleagues termed her "Little Shop of Horrors" and accused her of incompetence may have spurred her preemptive flight.

Former HS basketballer Sarah "Barracuda" naturally blamed the media, "You are naïve if you don’t see a full-court press on the national level, picking apart a good point guard." She later Twittered she resigned because of a "higher calling".

Yet online news journo The Daily Beast reported  federal investigators are probing whether or not Sarah and hubby First Dude Todd (aka The Shadow Governor) steered lucrative construction contracts to an Anchorage based Spenard Builders Supply (SBS) a company they had personal and professional ties to when Sarah was Mayor of Wasilla.

However, FBI spokesman Special Agent Eric Gonzalez told the LA Times. "There is absolutely no truth to those rumors that we’re investigating her or getting ready to indict her."

Gonzales would not comment when queried by the Times whether other federal agencies were conducting their own probes into the matter.

Regardless, Ex- Gov. Sarah Palin remains a "person of interest" to media.
