America's singing sweetheart Marie Osmond has gone back to her first husband Stephen Craig, The ENQUIRER has learned.

"Marie and Stephen were young when they got married" in 1982, an insider explained to The ENQUIRER. "But they've grown up a lot."

The reunited couple is moving forward cautiously in their second stab at romance, said the insider.

Marie was 22 when she married the semi-pro basketball player after an 18-month courtship. But the relationship soured almost immediately.

In her divorce papers, Marie accused Stephen of cheating throughout the marriage. And when the divorce was granted in 1985 after a legal battle, Marie won custody of their son, Steve.

It is their son, now 26, who helped rekindle his parents' love.

Although Steve was mostly raised by Marie's second husband- record producer Brian Blosil- he always stayed in touch with his dad, said the insider. He often now turns to his father for advice, so when Marie began to manage her son's music career, she realized she'd have to make peace with her ex.

When Marie started her show in Las Vegas last year with her brother Donny, she and Stephen began socializing as friends, says a family friend.

Late last year, the casual relationship began blossoming into romance. There's even been talk of remarriage, says the friend. Marie's divorce from Blosil was in 2007. Marie has eight children, Steve being the oldest.

Although Stephen lives in Utah, he commutes to Vegas at least twice a month and is planning to get an apartment there, say sources.

"Stephen always said that divorcing Marie was the biggest mistake of his life. He let her go once before, but now that he's a little older and wiser, he's thrilled to be getting another chance," added the insider.
