OPRAH SISTER SHOCKERS

description

Violence, drugs, criminal behavior and mental problems – The ENQUIRER has uncovered ALL the stunning details in OPRAH’s half sister PATRICIA LOFTON‘s shocking past.

Patricia, given up for adoption at birth by Oprah’s mom Vernita Lee, had a rough childhood, bouncing from foster home to foster home. She had two children by different fathers, never married and struggled to provide for her kids.

While her daughter Aquarius, 30, is now a student at the Medical College of Wisconsin,  Andre, 23, has had a troubled past – and Patricia has lived every painful moment with her son.

According to court papers and police reports obtained by The ENQUIRER, Oprah’s half nephew was arrested on Sept. 21 in Kenosha, Wis., for disorderly conduct and resisting an officer.

Police detailed a violent struggle with a young man who was "sweating profusely" and "appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance." Andre was incoherent and mumbling and appeared "highly agitated," according to the responding officer.

When the policeman handcuffed Andre and tried to put him in the squad car, Andre resisted and "became very physical" and refused to get into the back of the vehicle.

The officer wrote: "After numerous attempts to have Andre sit in the squad car on his own, I delivered two knee strikes to Andre’s abdomen."

Once in the car, an enraged Andre then obegan shouting profanities and racial slurs at the policeman. The out-of-control behavior continued when he reached the jail.

A Kenosha Circuit Court found Andre guilty of disorderly conduct, but dismissed the charge for resisting an officer. Andre spent about a week in jail before being released.

While he was jailed, Oprah’s nephew agreed to undergo a 10-day voluntary hospitalization at a mental health clinic in Milwaukee, followed by a court-ordered psychological examination.

Court documents reveal that Andre had been diagnosed as bipolar three years ago during an involuntary hospitalization in Chicago. He had been given the mood stabilizer lithium and an anti-schizophrenia drug called Seroquel, but stopped taking them after 18 months.

"Patricia stood by Andre when he was arrested and when he had to be admitted to the mental institution," maintained the insider.

Insiders tell The ENQUIRER that Oprah’s producers decided not to mention Patricia’s checkered past on the reunion show, opting to deliberately cover up her troubled history.

Media critics charged it was a ploy to boost ratings and draw attention to Oprah’s new TV network, OWN.
