Troubled son of Ryan O’Neal arrested on drug charges….again.
Redmond O’Neal , 24, was leaving Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic, California after dropping off two pals when he underwent a routine drug check by a deputy.
After admitting he was carrying drugs – heroin and xanax – O’Neal was promptly arrested for possessing a controlled substance and bringing narcotics into a drug free jail facility.
Redmond remains behind bars with bail set at $25,000 Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said.
The younger O’Neal pleaded not guilty to drug charges last month. He is due back in court Wednesday in regards to his 2008 drunk driving conviction.
Redmond is the son of Ryan O’Neal and actress Farrah Fawcett. This story was first reported by RADARonline.com.
