“Don't let it be forgot
That once there was a spot,
For one brief, shining moment
That was known as Camelot.”

These iconic lyrics from the musical “Camelot” by Lerner & Loewe – which his widow Jackie quoted as being JFK’s favorite, have now passed into history as emblematic of his presidency.

In an interview with Life magazine Dec. 6, 1963 a mere three weeks after the assassination, Jackie said:

"There'll be great Presidents again but there'll never be another Camelot again …

"It will never be that way again.”
