TV reporters made him a national joke during the infamous O.J. Simpson murder trial – but now Kato Kaelin has found love with the newscaster of his dreams!
The 56-year-old former bit-player – who testified in court as O.J.’s amiable permanent houseguest – is romancing Leyna Nguyen of Los Angeles TV station KCAL-9.
“I think it was love at first sight for Kato and Leyna,” a close friend told The National ENQUIRER. “She loves his sense of humor, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they were married before the end of the year!”
Kato’s quick to note that Leyna appreciates him for more than his notoriety, too.
“Leyna said at a speech in front of journalists recently that the one thing the news got 100 percent wrong during the trial was Kato Kaelin,” he boasted.
The news anchor, 45, is also happy to share her feelings with the world, recently declaring via social media: “Thank you Kato, for turning this cynical hard-head into a ball of mush.”
Add in Kato’s work as a celebrity interviewer, and it’s the kind of showbiz romance that’s made for L.A. “Our life is really good. I’m happy,” said Kato.
