OBAMA HUNG IN EFFIGY IN HOMETOWN OF JIMMY CARTER

Horrors of racism –  Obama effigy hung in Southern hometown of Jimmy Carter.

According to the Secret Service, a large black dummy was hung by a noose along Main Street in the Georgia home of former president Carter.

Eyewitnesses told local TV station WALB-TV  that the effigy bore a sign with Obama’s name in front of a billboard welcoming visitors to Plains, the home of former  President Jimmy Carter.

"It’s wrong with what they did to Obama but I’m not shocked by it," Plains local Trevor Sims said.

Plains Mayor L.E. Godwin III told AP the volunteer fire department was called to take it down.

He admits he saw the doll but was uncertain what it said.

"I think there’s this notion that we’re in a post-racial period in America because of the election of the first African American president," said Dr Anthony Samad, associate professor of African American studies at East Los Angeles College.

‘However, this president has received more death threats than any other president in the history of America."

The Secret Service is still investigating the incident.
