O.J. Simpson, depressed over his inescapable public disgrace and mounting money woes, threatened to kill himself and even acted out a bizarre and terrifying suicide drama.
The National ENQUIRER uncovered shocking images in 2000 showing O.J. waving a gun, laughing crazily and then pointing the gun barrel right at his own head!
The chilling scene was captured on videotape by a stunned and frightened eyewitness. And even though O.J. didn’t pull the trigger, people close to him believe he’s a time bomb waiting to explode.

“O.J. keeps a gun in his home and often in his car, and with his suicidal tendencies, his friends are worried that he will kill himself in a fit of depression,” an insider declared. “His girlfriend Christie Prody isn’t afraid that O.J. will harm her, but she’s worried he will kill himself. Deep inside he is hurting plenty.
“O.J. told Christie that he can’t take much more and doesn’t have much to live for. He said he thinks about ending it all and that it seems everybody is against him.”
The former football star has already come close to pulling the trigger and taking his own life – twice! After being charged with the June 1994 murder of his ex-wife Nicole and Ron Goldman, Simpson wrote a note that clearly threatened suicide, then disappeared with a handgun. He turned up at Nicole’s grave with his buddy Al Cowlings and vowed to kill himself, but Cowlings talked him out of it. Minutes later he was on an L.A. freeway in the famous Bronco chase, holding a pistol to his head and again threatening to kill himself.

Even after he was acquitted at his criminal trial, O.J. was on the brink of suicide, said the insider. “Simpson always had a gun with him. He talked about killing himself a lot during those days. He was so depressed.”
The 1997 civil trial verdict that found O.J. responsible for Nicole and Ron’s deaths was a devastating blow that sent him into a tailspin. Living with the stigma of that verdict has made O.J. more unstable.

As terrified strangers screamed in horror, O.J. waved a .38-caliber revolver. “I couldn’t believe it — he was flashing that gun around and laughing,” the eyewitness who took the videotape told The ENQUIRER. “It was like he was crazed.
“We were out sightseeing in Los Angeles when we spotted O.J. I asked him if I could take a home movie of him. He said, ‘It’s O.K., man.’
“As I was shooting the tape of him sitting in his Ford, several young women gathered around. One of them approached him to talk and she let out a shrill scream as she looked in the driver’s window.

“There was a gun in Simpson’s hand pointed right at her. He held it just below the window sill. Then another young lady came up and they were both screaming.
“As I brought my camera zooming in, the women moved out of the way and Simpson held up the revolver and shook it in the air.
“I was stunned. There was no question it was a real gun.

“I could see the rifling shining inside the chrome-lined barrel. O.J. had a crazed smile on his face. At first I wasn’t sure if he was going to shoot himself or someone else. At one point he held the gun to his head and was smiling.
“Then he drove off. It was really spooky and weird.”
Since that incident, few people have come around to accept O.J.’s profession of innocence — and his depression has increased, say sources. “He was really convinced that he could make a comeback as the football hero and movie star he once was,” a friend disclosed. “But it didn’t happen. He was found not guilty in court but guilty by public opinion.”

Said the insider: “Mounting financial problems and the sinking realization for Simpson that he cannot regain the superhero status he once enjoyed leave him depressed and prone to rages.
“He is desperate for adulation. His ego demands attention and it kills him that he hasn’t resumed his life as it was before the killings.
“Also he can’t stand that any money he earns goes by court order to the families of Nicole and Goldman. He gets $25,000 a month from his football pension but his high lifestyle takes up most of it.

Noted New York psychiatrist Dr. Jack Leedy told The ENQUIRER: “It is disturbing to see someone like O.J. Simpson keep a gun around while experiencing so many ups and downs in life. It is an open invitation for disaster.”
The insider added: “Friends fear Simpson is very dangerous to himself. “Having a handgun is like pouring gasoline on a raging fire.”
