Today, Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan announced that she and her Swedish fiancé Nicklas Soderblom have split.
The couple became engaged last December and had originally planed to wed New Year’s Eve 2005.
But as usual, Enquirer readers were ahead of the game — knowing all the details of the breakup weeks before Sheridan ‘fessed up!
The Enquirer told you how the 41-year-old star had cancelled her wedding plans because she was too busy to marry. Additionally, we revealed how she had left her 40-year-old fiancé thousands of miles away in sunny California to spend time with former jailbird Simon Main, 34, in Sydney, Australia.
At that time, Nicollette’s publicist denied our story claiming that Nicollette hadn’t called off her wedding and that Simon Main was merely a long-time family friend.
The following week, the Enquirer carried another article entitled Nicollette’s Dumped Lover Moves Out, which not only talked about how Soderblom had pulled the plug on their relationship but also showed photos of him carrying boxes of his shoes and clothing out of her Hollywood Hills home.
Once again, Sheridan’s spokeswoman insisted they were still a couple — and in fact were moving into Soderblom’s beach home together.
Note to Nicollette Sheridan’s publicist: If your client really wants to know the skinny about what’s going on in her private life, she should read The National Enquirer!
