Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are finally ready to tie the knot – but insiders say they can’t afford the giant wedding they both want.
Nick, 36, was expecting a big payday from his new LP, Coming Up For Air – but the release was put on hold indefinitely, one source told The ENQUIRER.
"He was crushed. Now almost all his money is tied up in that project."
Meanwhile, 29-year-old Vanessa quit her MTV job to pursue acting – but the offers haven’t been rolling in like she thought they would.
"It’s frustrating," thes ource added. "They finally made the big decision to spend the rest of their lives together. And now a cash flow issue seems to be standing in the way of their dream wedding."

"He wants to give Vanessa just as beautiful a wedding. But it is as if neither one of them has the money to pay for an extravaganza," said a friend.
While Nick waits for the release of his CD, he’s trying to pick up hosting gigs, and Vanessa is also desperately looking for work, says the source.
They’re also learning to pinch pennies. They’ve become so frugal, in fact, they don’t always travel first class!
Nick & Vanessa even flew back to New York after spending Christmas in Nick’s hometown of Cincinnati in coach.
