A double tragedy has struck reformed “Happy Days” wild man SCOTT BAIO after his wife was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Scott, 54, was heartbroken when his 7-year-old daughter, Bailey DeLuca, once tested positive for a rare metabolic disorder known as glutaric acidemia type 1. Doctors later declared Bailey free of the disorder.
But in a cruel twist of fate, Scott announced his beloved spouse’s battle on June 18. “Just a few days ago, we learned my wife, Renee, has a meningioma brain tumor,” Scott wrote on social media.
Said a source: “Scott was devastated … first, he went through the agony of believing his daughter could die, and now this.”
The “Charles in Charge” actor changed his partying ways for Renee on the 2007 reality show, “Scott Baio Is 45 … and Single.” “My wife is my rock,” said Scott. “She refuses to even shed one tear, nor will she question God’s will.”
The insider told The ENQUIRER: “Scott’s a strong man. He’ll handle whatever happens, no matter how tough it is!”
