UPDATED WITH NEW DETAILS: Vet NBC news special correspondent TOM BROKAW rushed to hospital in Charlotte!
After an appearance on MSNBC this morning Brokaw, 72, was rushed to a hospital in Cahrlotte, N.C. after a full night of DNC battle action.
The former NBC Nightly News anchor who stepped away from hid daily chores after the 2004 election, had been working a break-neck pace the last two weeks — first covering the RNC and then the DNC – plus making guest appearances including Sean Hannity’s Fox News show last night.
An MSNBC spokesperson said, “On the set of ‘Morning Joe’ this morning, Tom Brokaw felt light-headed. Out of an abundance of caution, he was taken to a hospital and is being evaluated.”
“All is well Early AM I mistakenly took a half dose of Ambien and made less sense than usual. Made a better comeback than Giants…" Brokaw later Tweeted.
