MORE DIDDY DRAMA: POSSIBLE ASSAULT CHARGES?

description

Sean “Diddy” Combs could be charged with assault after his alleged weekend brawl with a rival Steven Acevedo, the New York Post reports.

Diddy and Acevado were reportedly fighting over a woman they had both dated at the New York City nightclub Kiosk around 3:30 am on Oct. 14. The rap star-turned-media mogul allegedly hit Acevedo twice in the face and threatened to kill him. The Post reports Acevedo told police that someone in Diddy’s entourage lifted his shirt as if to signal that he had a gun.

Combs could be charged with a misdemeanor for his role in the incident, sources told the Post.

“We are hopeful that this matter will be resolved without the filing of any criminal charges, as this was a disagreement among acquaintances, not a criminal assault,” Diddy’s attorney, Benjamin Brafman, said in a statement.
