Hard partying OC actress Mischa Barton, 23, held by psych cops on a "Britney" 5150 hold – possible a danger to herself or others.
Mischa had been working on new flick The Homecoming was taken to a mystery location after police "assisted her with a mental issue," a LAPD spokesperson confirmed.
Cops placed Mischa under a 5150 hold the same one exercised on Britney Spears during her big meltdown. The hold is reserved for individuals who present a danger to themselves or others, are gravely disabled or suffer from a mental disorder – by the request of her physician.
"Police were involved due to Ms. Barton’s celebrity status, to safely transfer her to medical treatment as per doctor’s orders. (She’s) okay and resting," her rep confirmed.
Due to her shocking health issues she was forced to drop out of her new flick’s red carpet preem.
And despite Barton’s flakey reputation, producer Austin Star had nothing but praise fpr the star throughout the shoot.
"I honestly had no complaints. She struck me as a nice young girl, she never said anything mean to anyone, and she wasn’t late on-set or anything like that. When she was on-set, she acted like a professional. "
Off-set may have been another story entirely, though.
