Fed up with hubby Blake Shelton’s flirty ways, country star Miranda Lambert went on a “revenge diet” – and shed 30 pounds!
The Nashville spitfire showed off her sexy new 105-pound figure at the recent Country Music Association Awards, and sources say her makeover has Blake green with jealousy.
“Ask Miranda how Blake likes her new look, and she says that she doesn’t give a damn what Blake thinks,” a friend told The ENQUIRER.
“But then she’ll get all coy and say that when Blake is making goo-goo eyes at skinny b—-es while he’s in L.A. for ‘The Voice,’ she tells him that men are looking at his skinny bitch wife and thinking she’s damned hot too!
“It’s pretty obvious she’s aiming to make Blake jealous.”
Talking about her weight loss, 5-foot-4 Miranda, who’d ballooned to 135 pounds, say pals, claimed that turning 30 on Nov. 10 is what motivated her.
“I just thought maybe if I get ahead of it a little I won’t have to work so hard later in life,” she said.
But insiders say Miranda – who wed Blake three years ago – has been struggling after repeatedly being rocked by reports that he was openly flirting with a string of pretty young things. But she finally decided to slim down after Blake raved about fellow “Voice” coach Christina Aguilera’s hot new figure after she dropped 30 pounds.
As The ENQUIRER reported, the “Honey Bee” hunk’s open lust for Christina sparked a huge dust-up with Miranda.
“Miranda was really upset she was up to 135, especially after Blake gushed about how sexy Christina looked and how he wished Miranda had as good a figure,” said a source.
After that, Miranda resolved “to get herself in the best, most sexy shape of her life,” said another source.
“She’d gained weight after gorging on junk food and sitting around her tour bus during her lengthy concert tour this year. She worked like the devil to get in shape – cutting out starches and exercising up to three hours a day.”
Miranda’s new curves took center stage at the CMA Awards on Nov. 6 when she won Best Female Vocalist honors for the fourth straight year. But friends wonder whether her dramatic weight loss will put her once rock-solid marriage back on track.
“Blake’s flirting really caused a crisis of confidence for Miranda,” said the second source.
“But now he has no excuse for playing the man about town. Blake’s not only got the most successful wife any man could dream of, she’s a knockout too!”
