The party may be over for Patrick Schwarzenegger and Miley Cyrus, insiders dished to The National ENQUIRER.
“Miley expected a proposal on Valentine’s Day,” said a source. “Now she’s extremely disappointed.”
The 21-year-old son of former “Governator” Arnold and Kennedy clan member Maria Shriver had second thoughts after getting an earful from Miley’s ex-fiancé, Liam Hemsworth, sources said.
“Patrick got scared off after Liam told him to have fun with Miley, but definitely avoid a commitment,” one insider said. “Hunger Games” hunk Liam was often at Miley’s side at clubs when she was caught on camera seemingly smoking illegal substances while partying in revealing outfits.
“Liam experienced Miley’s dark side firsthand,” explained the source. “Since he and Patrick are casual friends, Liam thought he owed it to Patrick to give him a heads-up.”
Afterward, “Patrick realized that Miley’s a blast to be around, but she’s not long-term girlfriend material,” a pal said.
Meanwhile, it’s widely known that Maria and the entire Kennedy family were horrified by the star and her racy ways!
With several Kennedy members waging battles with substance abuse, Maria feared the same fate for Patrick if he stayed with 22-year-old Miley.
“Maria’s already at wit’s end, but she’d go nuts if Patrick proposed to Miley,” a source said.
Now insiders believe Patrick is beginning to heed the family’s warnings about the “Party in the USA” singer.
“Patrick has been spending fewer nights at her house, and he bailed on a planned March trip to the Caribbean,” said a source. “He’s pulling back – much to Maria’s delight.”
