Mike Tyson‘s 4-year-old daughter Exodus was pronounced dead after a tragic treadmill accident.
Exodus apparently hung herself on a cord hanging off a treadmill while playing in her Arizona home. She was found by her 7-year-old brother. Exodus’ mother was cleaning in another room at the time of the accident.
“Somehow she was playing on this treadmill, and there’s a cord that hangs under the console — it’s kind of a loop,” police Sgt. Andy Hill said. “Either she slipped or put her head in the loop, but it acted like a noose, and she was obviously unable to get herself off of it.”
The child was hospitalized and put on life support, Sgt. Hill said.
Tyson was reportedly in Las Vegas at the time of the accident but rushed to Phoenix to see his daughter. A rep for the boxer said, “The Tyson family would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks for all your prayers and support, and we ask that we be allowed our privacy at this difficult time.”
