Actress Michelle Williams‘ father extradited from Sydney, Australia to face tax evasion charges.
The Heath Ledger ex-GF and Brokeback Mountain star Michelle’s father, Larry, a prominent stock market trader had been fighting extradition since being collared by Oz police in 2006. He’d been free on bail until now.
The IRS wants to grill the 65-year-old Virgin Islands resident about $1.5 million in unpaid taxes due from book royalties and international speaking engagements between 1990 and 2001.
"I will fight this and win," Williams vowed as sheriffs escorted him from court.
"I will be back – I have a lot of friends here in Australia."
The Sydney Daily Telegraph reports that Williams will head stateside tomorrow.
