MICHELLE OBAMA said to be mulling Senate run after POTUS exits.
It wouldn’t be the first timet that a former FLOTUS flouted her media presence to run for Senate – just ask HILLARY CLINTON who was elected New York Senator after leaving the White House.
Political insiders are saying that Michelle may jump into the political arena making a run for Illinois Sen, Mark Kirk’s seat in 2016.
Reuters reported that Michelle is the only potential candidate with a large enough media presence to unseat the Republican. Michelle’s public persona has turned more political in the last few months, NBC Chicago reported.
While Michelle has never publicly stated she wants to seek office The ENQUIRER has reported that she want to launch a TV chat show – especially if her troubled marriage to Barack goes further south, resulting in divorce.
But never say never.
Politics is often about timing.
And while many pundits said a brash young Senator from Illinois, Barack Obama, should’ve waited to take his turn, he didn’t.
If elected, Michelle would quickly become the most recognizable face in the Senate and is well positioned in terms of fundrasing clout.
Pollsters say that Michelle would nab 51% of the vote over the incumbent Republican if she ran.
