Michelle Obama‘s first boy friend tells all!
Michelle Obama’s high school prom date reveals that his romance with the future first lady went nowhere because, he tells The ENQUIRER, "I was a screw-up, plain and simple!"
Back in 1982, David Upchurch escorted then 18-year-old Michelle Robinson to her prom at Whitney M. Young High School in Chicago.
A photo of the couple – obtained exclusively by The ENQUIRER – shows Michelle glowing in a low-cut gown with a sexy slit up the side and a matching jacket, while David poses beside her in a smart tuxedo.
But when The ENQUIRER tracked him down at his modest home in Colorado Springs, Colo., Upchurch claimed he’d "pretty much forgotten" that night and couldn’t even recall if it ended with a kiss!
Upchurch is the first ex-boyfriend of Michelle’s to speak out. Today he works as a customer service representative and is a divorced father of three.
"I grew up with Michelle and her brother Craig. We were neighbors, and our families were close," the 47-year-old told The ENQUIRER.
"When Michelle was in the middle of her junior year, we began dating and continued to date for a year and a half," he recalled fondly.
