MICHAEL DOUGLAS CONFESSION

description

Regrets? He’s had a few.  Michael Douglas wishes he could have been a better dad to troubled drug addict son Cameron.

Cameron who pleased guilty in January on charged of drug possession and dealing meth and coke from a Manhattan hotel in a DEA sting because Michael believes believes he was a selfish parent.

Michael then blames his father Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas in new ish of Vanity Fair, "My priorities were very similar to my father’s. Career first.

"The history of second-generation actors isn’t great in our industry," Douglas elaborated. "It’s kind of a tragic road, actually. Anybody who has a relative or child in substance abuse has some idea of what this feels like.

"This is one of those worst-case scenarios. It will ultimately be a painful lesson and very expensive as far as time is concerned. I don’t wish it on anybody, but then, you know, everybody’s got difficult things in life."

But not everyone’s a multimillionaire Hollywood star living a life of privilege indulging every fantasy.

For some, like Michael’s own brother Eric who died from a drug OD, just living in the shadows was more than he could bear.

And with the tragic deaths of Walter Koening and Marie Osmond‘s children, the depression and unhappiness that follows in the wake of success is so debilitating it makes "success" in show business anathema to the very meaning of success if loss comes at the price of losing everyone you hold dear.
