UPDATE: Coroner says Mia Farrow‘s brother slayed self.

The coroner announced that Robert Farrow, 56, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

"These findings are consistent with evidence found during the investigation," Chief Medical Examiner Steven Shapiro said. "Mr. Farrow’s wife contacted 911 upon discovering her husband unresponsive in their home."

The Rosemary Baby star’s brother  a sculptor was found dead in his art gallery in Vermont after police responded to an emergency call from the Farrow Gallery.

Earlier, State police Lt. Timothy Oliver stated that Farrow’s death was suspicious. Lt. Oliver told WPTZ-TV that police don’t suspect foul play in the death, but said without elaborating that there appeared to be some things out of the ordinary.

Mia who starred in films like Hannah & Her Sisters, Crimes & Misdemeanors was the longtime companion of Woody Allen before their relationship erupted in scandal in 1992.

Both Farrows were the children of actress Maureen O’Sullivan who played Jane to Johnny Weismuller‘s Tarzan in the MGM classic film series during the 1930s.  Their father was director John Farrow who helmed suspenser The Big Clock.
