The “Gilmore Girls” will do more with less!

Melissa McCarthy, 45, who played Sookie St. James during the seven-year run of the show, has thumbed her nose at returning for the reboot — and it’s all nasty Lauren Graham’s fault!

“There were times when Lauren was condescending, and if she was having a bad day, she would bark at Melissa when she’d flub a line during shooting,” a spy close to Melissa confided to The National ENQUIRER.

Despite several desperate phone calls from Lauren, 48, begging for her return, Melissa said she had her chance to be nice back then, and now it’s too late!

The entire cast who starred in the light-hearted drama, which portrayed Lauren and Alexis Bledel, 34, as a tight-knit mother and daughter, will be returning — except Melissa! While the show’s stars have reminisced about the joys working on the show, the funny lady isn’t one of them.

“Most of the cast remembers ‘Gilmore Girls’ as the best time of their lives, but to Melissa, she remembers pettiness and being treated like a second-class citizen sometimes,” said another source.

Since its 2007 cancellation, Melissa’s career has skyrocketed, burying her ex-castmates in the dust. She scored an Emmy for “Mike & Molly” and snagged an Oscar nomination for her potty-mouthed performance in “Bridesmaids.”

Show creator Amy Sherman-Palladino even promised her a juicy storyline — Sookie would become a Food Network star, mirroring Melissa’s own success — still, it wasn’t enough.

Although a rep for the actress denied any animosity, the spy confided: “Melissa prefers to look forward, not back at something she did 10 years ago.”
