Little House on the Prairie star MELISSA GILBERT is still living with hubby BRUCE BOXLEITNER according to neighbors – even though she announced they’d split!
The couple – who’ve been married 16 years – were apart for less than a week, say pals who hope they’ll reconcile.
"Melissa and Bruce have had their troubles, but I’m betting that they can work out their differences," said one pal.
Neighbors were shocked by news of a breakup because Bruce, 60, never seemed to have left the house that he shares with Melissa, 46, mom of their 15-year-old son Michael.
"I see his car there ALL the time!" one neighbor told The ENQUIRER.
Melissa revealed they’d separated on March 1, but she listed herself as "married" on her Facebook page on March 10.
"My marriage is a miracle. I am sober," she wrote.
That reference was to her long battle with the bottle, which nearly destroyed her marriage to Bruce – star of the ’80s TV hit Scarecrow and Mrs. King and the ’90s sci-fi favorite Babylon 5.
In her tell-all memoir Prairie Tale, the actress wrote that she was drinking at least two bottles of wine a day and once passed out in her dog’s bed!
She and her husband "fought so badly that Bruce started to use the D-word," she wrote.
